The NBA and its players' association will contribute $1 million to support the relief efforts in Haiti.
They said Friday they would join with UNICEF and other relief agencies to provide assistance, and Haiti native Samuel Dalembert of the Philadelphia 76ers has taped a public service announcement for UNICEF encouraging fans to contribute.
Its always reassuring to see professional players getting invovled with charity events and disaster relief events, making a diffrence of there own. Exspecialy with the recent events over seas in Haiti with that earthquake that devastated that areas region. There's hope yet for many whom are very unfortunate in many parts of the world who think they are alone when a disaster strikes. The U.S. has very quick to give some assistance in any way possible to help anyway possible. Hopefully with the world watching they would see that there is hope for everyone when a disaster strikes the heart of home.
